No, its actually a video that actually goes over some of the key topics covered by Obama in the SOTU Address and scholars @ Cato Institute putting some of the "sky high" dreams that Obama addressed more into perspective/truth (the failed to mention stuff).

Its a good watch, check it out if you get a chance.

Made it about 2 minutes before the bullshit reek started spilling out of the computer screen. It's still running in the background but hopefully anyone who watches this has some better sense than to just eat it all up.

It *is* a good watch, however, if just for exposure to the conservative special type of insanity.

Never eat anything all up, especially if its served on the Interweb. I posted it more as an alternate angled view, and yes it is ultra conservative when it comes to the opinion from the producers as well as those who participated in the video. ;)

The SOTU Speech? Yeah It was a dream/reelection speech IMHO. I lulzed too when I saw John Kerry's face, guess hes sporting a broken nose and two black eyes from a pick up ice hockey game (probably called the other teams goalie's wife a dyke :)). I'd probably drop the mitts with him too, he looks like a douche bag and it be fun to kick the shit out of a Senator and only sit for 5 (min, not years or life sentences)! Speaker Boehner looked like he wanted to jump over the table a few times and strangle Obama during the speech.

              a very divisive speech

someone on this board please explain how we improve your life by taking away from others, which is exactly the central core of obama's "fairness" ideas
why don't you hone in your hate for every other president we've had or is it the big O is in office so you're hate will just be towards him? Every president has done this, with a very select few (take a look at the ones that had failed/successful assignation attempts), and none of them had any real control of any of their accomplishments besides the ones that big money didn't care about.

I'm glad that you'd have a beer with Obama. How he can be considered disastrous after W is beyond me. We have gone from the abyss to steady, slow growth out of a major recession. There is a LOT more that needs to be done. Since Obama is a President and not a dictator, he has to deal with Congress. (the obstructionist Congress, that is)

And both situations the president (and even congress) had no control over and only a very slight influence on.

Again, $6 trillion in debt in just over 3 years. 11% REAL unemployment.

Democrats controlled the House and Senate from 2006-2010, the R controlled house passed numerous "jobs" bills last year that Reid refused let to come up for a debate in the Senate.

                      etc etc etc

Both sides suck, quit drinking the MSNBC Kool-Aid.

The problem is both sides fighting with each other and acting like the word compromise is fucking taboo.

Like I said, a lot more needs to be done, in a cooperative fashion. No Kool-Aid involved. (I hate the Kool-Aid cliche after reading it in virtually every political thread.) Congress could pass Obama's Jobs Bill for example.

The one that allows unemployed people, who aren't hired after applying for a job, to sue for compensation?

That bill was never meant to pass, it was only a political move to say "Look the R's don't want to help the economy."

If someone can prove that he or she was discriminated against purely on the basis that he or she was unemployed at the time of the interview what is your reasoning that the person shouldn't be able to sue?
