The first time I heard someone say there was "evidence" that scientists were suppressing that "proved" the Earth was only 6000 years old, I knew we were in deep trouble. I tell my kids that I know what I know only because I am profoundly aware of my ignorance, and that only by staying hungry for knowledge and growth will our species flourish.

Fun fact: you get a spike of dopamine every time you read something that confirms one of your preconceived notions. That would explain why Hannity, Limbaugh, and the Daily Cos (or whatever it's called) are so popular. If you want to grow intellectually, rather than just arm yourself with "facts" to win your next argument, seek out sources of information that lean towards the opposite of your political affiliation. That's why I subscribe to The Economist and the Christian Science Monitor. They challenge my beliefs while keeping me well informed and help me strengthen my well balanced world view.

Eh? You were trying to make fun of my board name, though when it became apparant that you didn't understand its meaning you moved on to something much more vague. Retreat and distract! Retreat and distract!

I listen to hannitty, neil boortz, etc.. almost every day on newstalk 750, but unlike most of the people that listen to them, I yell at my radio.. It is pretty crazy the things they say, and that people listen to this and agree..

Anyway, here are some facts about climate change:

In 2010 the ppmv was close to 400. That is carbon, which is caused by burning fossil fuels. No one can argue that.

Now, the relation between global temperature and carbon in our atmosphere is a natural cause of greenhouse effects and that is also a well known fact.

So now, how is it so complicated to understand that when we burn fossil fuels, there is more carbon in the atmosphere, and the planet heats up.

Here, this one goes a little further back

Not this shit AGAIN Its not that simple, and there are piles of data that point to the opposite. Far from settled

No your board name is just a stupid as it was an hour ago (as is any reference to that murdering bastard) . While YOU know what you mean by it, you have failed to put sub titles in there so the rest of us can make a similar determination.

Your lack of judgement in this matter shows your mentality/maturity, along with your discourse and assumed intellectual superiority, says more about you than the diatribe coming from your keyboard.

Oh and NO its Work Sleep, Work Sleep. I dont have the time nor the will, to take this any further than I have. My off hours are few and spent mostly sleeping. Good day

I can't stand to listen to them, or their liberal equivalents for that matter. I've tried very hard to watch Beck and Hannity and their lot but I cannot stand the never ending barrage of arrogant idiocy. I'm quite certain that every single one of their arguments/talking points contains at least one straw man. Seriously, once you start looking for them you won't be able to got more than a minute without hearing them use a straw man of some sort.

How stupid of me to use a clever play on words to accurately describe how meaningless Che has become as a political figure.... I find it quite amusing that you're attempting to use your lack of critical thinking skills to call me stupid. Seriously man, if you know who Che is it's not that difficult to figure out.

Cliche Guevara: Like Che Guevara, but incorporating "cliche." What could that possibly mean? Definitely nothing to do with the word "cliche....." He must be a communist sympathizer!

                          Impeccable logic right there.

Same thing for the liberal pundits.

I will however agree with you on your reading choices, I find them both to be good.

But I also read debka, a few of the Israeli rags, Al jazeera, abc, etc. About the only ones I purposely steer clear of are Fox/MSNBC/Huff Po.
