Indeed. And continue to work towards energy independence. Oil might have been cheap in 90s but our suckling on its teat in the 2000s got really expensive and gave us a horrible trade balance.

We have lots of oil, and energy resources here in the US and our territorial waters, By 2020 we could become a NET EXPORTER of Crude and Energy in general if the hippies and the Feds would get the fuck out of the way and let us develop it, and sell it. We could be selling N/G to Europe and Asia and coal to asia if the hippies would stop filing court injunctions to stop the construction of shipping terminals and related infrastructure for such resources.

Yes Fair tax and Cut spending, and that alone would create much more tax revenue for all the govts across the board for them to spend (or pay off debts)
