6 things rich people need to stop saying

All of a sudden, it's like you can't make huge amounts of money without people getting all pissed off about it. And it's only going to get worse -- with the election coming up and the weather getting warmer, this whole "Occupy" movement is probably going to come back strong. The 1 percent will feel even more besieged than before.
"What the hell?" you're probably thinking, if you're somehow both rich and reading an article with this title, "I didn't crash the economy!" You might even be tempted to take to a microphone, to defend yourself and your wealthy friends. But before you do, I want you to stop and ask yourself, "Will this make me sound like an out-of-touch douchebag?"
i thought it was a good article and pertained to r3v p&r quite a bit. a lot of the topics touched upon are discussed here pretty heavily. specifically ideas like, the rich work harder, or that they didnt get help from anybody and they made it.

I can't say I cared for the article or the approach the guy took to make his point. But I'm rich so maybe it offended me a little;)

I believe the author could be a tad bit wealthier if he stopped writing emotionally disturbed blog posts and spent his time doing something more useful.

Oh really? Then why isn't everyone successful?

The author is doing pretty well for himself. He mentioned he just sold the movie rights to one of his books. I'm sure that was a fair bit of cash.

I just hate how people bitch about rich people and how they need to defend themselves. It's based on jealousy, get over it. Yes I'd love to have an unlimited amount of disposable income, but read post #4.

Why is Lil Wayne worth 150 million for rapping stupid shit about bitches, money, and drugs. Why NFL/MLB players make millions and millions. It's not just executives.

Just. Fyi. I know lots of guys that are about as smart as a bag of wrenches, that retire on 12k a month and have 7 figure bank accounts/assets, and have never done anything but work a trade and make the hard choices to stay working for 35 years. Is this the norm NOT EVEN CLOSE, but it can be done.

Kershaw, you know me its part of the game in my line of work

Little Wayne is worth that because of his producing and building the Young Money label. As well as being born into the industry. It did not come from just rapping.

Players make that money because they have a short life expectancy in their carrier and have sacrificed most of their life to their sport.

But they are only the select few.... there are not that many compared to executives that make that kind of money.

And CEO's, CFO's, and executives are in the same place. They devote their lives to these companies, and they get compensated for it. You don't think the CEO/CFO of Wall-Mart, Best Buy, Costco, Dell, HP, etc, etc, etc, etc, should be filthy rich? The guy who created the post-it note lives 6 miles from me in a multi-million dollar house. He doesn't deserve that?

                              I agree!

Anyone that owns a successful business knows you are a slave to the business. Thats why most of them are not married or happily married. And have nice stuff that they most often never use.
