I guess you don't read the gun thread... I happen to know just exactly how this works.

Yes you can buy hundreds of thousands of $$ in guns, but not all at one time.... It takes many transactions... MANY!

If you buy a certain amount of handguns a month or even rifles.... you get a knock at the door! I have seen this done personally.

I have also seen a denial of purchase or restricted purchase. I think some in the gun thread has had this happen to them.

    That article is not accurate!

The article has more credibility than you do, but feel free to keep up with the anecdotes, they're very convincing.

Seen folks denied at point of purchase, they were Law Enforcement too, which the rest of us in the shop had a good laugh over. Had another friend who was delayed. It does happen.

Well, I think they did a pretty good job of making this fly under the radar today. All part of the game.

You'll get used to this poster. He'll put his cock anywhere if it prevents Obama and his buddies from being named negatively in any subject.

I know the type Josh. I know a couple who were flying their Obama sticker till he really started to show how ridiculous he is. Then they mentioned that they never voted for him, my reply was,"That clean spot on your Prius must mean your common sense kicked it too late?"

Obama and Holder are both guilty in this operation. It's all a ploy for stricter gun laws. But as you guys know, Obama blocked the documents from being released, so the house voted to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in both criminal and civil contempt of Congress for failing to give congressional investigators documents in response to the subpoena which was given last year. That being said that hurts President Obama / Nixon Jr.s hope of re-election because of the cover up.

The thing that pisses me off the most about the situation is that they were going to try and impose more gun restrictions because of this operation. I mean wtf?! The ATF ordered gun dealers to sell guns to the cartel members. It's utter bull shit if you ask me. And trust me, any info and criminal history like that would be instantly red flagged on any normal day and the dealer would turn the person in question away. I have friends who work at gun stores and the amount of paperwork and background checks involved is intense, especially in the facist state of California.

Turge, this was in Arizona, not California. Have you even researched this? There were a total of 6 (six) guns that were purposely given to one of the young street racing kids this operation was named after knowing he would in turn sell them to the cartel. Why did they do this? Per the federal justices in Arizona, the ATF needed better proof that these guns were being sold with the intent to harm another if they were to be given permission to prosecute anyone. There is no waiting period in AZ, just be 18 or older and pass an on-site background check. You can purchase as many guns as you want, many of these youngsters forking over $20,000. They are then legally allowed to resell those guns to whomever they want. None of this is illegal whatsoever - unless the ATF could prove to the satisfaction of these justices that the intent was to do harm. The ATF had no teeth so they got desperate and set up the sting involving 6 handguns.
