Is that religion necessary though to be the foundation of morality, or do we already possess the accepted "good" morality of our society? You claim it's your foundation, so without it what do you think you would be doing or how do you think you'd behave?

Large numbers of non-theists live contributing and peaceful lives without any religion to guide them or set moral standards. Why is it needed for you and not me? A foundation isn't of much use if it doesn't provide anything extra.

Another part of my beliefs, is do your thing bro. I don't hate on atheist or people who believe in another religion. I'm just saying for me, it's a good moral guideline, how can you dispute it. Just read the 10 commandments and other beliefs. Where would I be without Catholicism, possibly the same exact place? I'm not disputing, simply asking why you find it necessary or desirable to supposedly get your morality from religion when yours is likely no different than mine which I acquired through living in a society. I can't justify having a huge aspect of my life based on the unnecessary and have a hard time understanding why others do...which is why I ask.

The bible condones genocide, slavery, and numerous other horrible acts. Sure, there are a few good morals to live by, but it would be ridiculous to assert that those couldn't be reasoned without the bible.

I don't see why we need a god, I don't see any evidence of any supernatural existance, so no. I think god is something man-created, used to slow down evolution in many different ways.
