I'm assuming most of you have viewpoints against organized religion. Anyone who is Christian or Catholic who has an opinion on these? I want to know what the viewpoint is of a religious fellow.

I have an opinion from the standpoint you are looking for.

I could for one use the "Listen to God's repeatables..."

          Or, "Many flocks have I..."

Or, other things I could go on and on with.

I used to argue much more fervently in regards to Religion around here, now I don't because nobody has ears to listen, nobody has eyes to see with, so I just keep it to myself, or else I just post up what they would say anyway, because, narrow is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads unto life, and few there be that find it, so I'll just keep on keepin' on down my path, and focus on my vertical relationship instead of trying to speak a language most just don't understand.

seems the accuser finds himself guilty of his own accusations. I wish you wouldn't just keep it all in man cuz its good to hear from the several fellows in here that at least have manageable typing skills.

The problem with religious arguments is that ( not bashing) the people will believe in what they believe man. Even if there is science against or for, big lebowski will always be right in saying, "its just like your own opinion, man." every single time.

Yes, saying you hate the church, makes the belief in a magical father figure bitch slapping you for not worshipping him on Sundays while being able to forgive anything as long as you ask.................that makes PERFECT sense.

Again, I couldn't care less if that's what you, or anyone else believes. Unfortunately, many who believe feel it is their duty to make me live by their tenets.

It's almost as if they are still trying to convince themselves.

Funny, I usually do my church stuff on Wednesdays. But it's kinda loose, so it's not really WHEN that matters. Remember, "Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye." -Mark 7:3

And Interestingly enough, the Sabbath starts Friday at Sundown, and goes to Saturday at Sundown. The Romans actually moved it to Sunday, to do what you ask? To take advantage of the pagan act of worship of the Sun.

Isaiah 45:7 (KJV) I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.

You do know He (God) created good AND evil, when the Bible speaks of pestilence, and the terror by night, the arrow that flyeth by day, the destroyer, and the angel of death, the Biblical texts are referring to entities, not simple things that happen, literal beings, tools of God.

                          The entities he created have names like;

                          Terror By Night - Tahad
Arrow that Flyith by Day - Hez
                          Pestilence - Dever
                          The Destroyer/Waster - Ketev
Angel of Death - Resheph (רשׁף בני)

Habakkuk 3:5 (NIV) Plague went before him; pestilence followed his steps.

Isaiah 54:16 (KJV) Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.

God is not to be confused with some cuddly, lovey-dovey, only is here to make his followers/believers/faithers lives be a walk in the park. He wants the metal, forged by the hottest fire, purified by the flames. I could likely put together a whole sermon, but I figure most here wouldn't listen anyway...

Getting a little off topic but when I hear the whole story of God and Lucifer and how he was cast out I can't help but to pity him. All he did was love his Father and refused to "serve" those that are practically mere cockroaches to him and committed to serving his Father, not humans. Would your father disown you for not "serving" a cockroach, I think not. I don't see Lucifer as an evil being, only those that serve him are truly evil. Lucifer only loved his Father and was banished for all eternity for showing it.

                                Anyways, proceed.
