Fuck these people. If they wanna take the term "Marriage" and use it in their own definition, I hereby will be taking the title of Lesbian, because I'm all about women. If we want to twist the definitions to suit our desires, so be it.

I have no problem with the same rights, under a civil union title, but I don't think that twisting a definition to fit others that are literally not covered by literal definition of a term, simply because "It's not fair...!" is preposterous.

Like many out there,i've known and liked (so to speak) gays, but when anyone out there INSISTS on redefining words, they're bullying the rest of us. I'm divorced, but i'd like to say i'm single. I started this thread, and I am sick of talking about this whole nonsense. Both sides of this issue are really giving their respective positions a bad name. Gays and lesbians blew the CEO's comments way out of proportion, and are more than happy to hypocritically protest against his right to free speech. On the other side, you have retarded fundamentalists (yes retarded, because you have to be in order to be a fundamentalist) buying chicken sandwiches in a gluttonous protest against homosexuality. Why do these people represent the rest of us?

The CEO's comments are not, IMHO, the big issue. The big issue is that Cfa is happy to take the money of LGBT people, and their allies, and donate it to groups that oppose the basic civil rights of selected citizens. Cfa is within its rights to do so and its customers are within their rights to spend their money elsewhere. The publicity helps people to decide how to target their spending. Both sides do this. The Family Research Council, which the Southern Poverty Law Center classifies as a hate group, is currently boycotting J.C. Penney's for using Ellen Degeneris as a spokesperson and then not backing down. They are boycotting Home Depot for something or another. They boycotted Ford for advertising cars in gay media.
The right, generally speaking, loves to dish it out and go crying home to mommy when opponents use similar tactics.
