Why does religion always get brought into a political discussion. I'm 22, white, and have a bangin german girlfriend. I also have 2 of the most flamboyant gay friends EVER! The thing is though is they are some of the best friends I've ever had. I think people are really afraid of gay people because they think after a while of being around them they'll start to act gay too. Not true.
The advantages of having a gay friend when you have a girlfriend:
1.You don't have to listen to her complain all the time about "Sheela" at work everynight.
2. Your gay friend and her will constantly give her makeovers and will make her look fucking HOT!
3. You can get some fashion tips if you're stylishly retarded.
4. A free home decorator is valuable.
5. If you're single GAY FRIENDS MAKE THE BEST WINGMEN!!!!!!!!!
I don't see what the big deal is about gay marriage. Let them be happy, it's their constitutional right to chase the ideals of happiness.

If It was a muslim company, I'd have more respect for the person if he came out and said he was in support of killing innocent young women(i.e. Sharia Law) than if he tried to deny it. That is, respect for having the balls to say it in the face of adversity.
Dude, you refer to the Constitution without reading it. You make claims about the Bible without reading it. You really have no place to get upset.
Besides, the point was that even if they mention a deity in some founding documents, the country never specified one - so why would we expect the one of some middle eastern sheep herders to be the foundation of our civil law?
Actually, I have read the entire Bible and entire Constitution :) but thanks.
Also, some quotes from from other founding fathers:
Ben Rush: "The gospel of Jesus Christ prescribes the wisest rules for just conduct in every situation of life. Happy they who are enabled to obey them in all situations!"
John Witherspoon: "Whoever is an avowed enemy of God, I scruple not to call him an enemy of his country."
George Washington: "While we are zealously performing the duties of good citizens and soldiers, we certainly ought not to be inattentive to the higher duties of religion. To the distinguished character of Patriot, it should be our highest glory to add the more distinguished character of Christian."
John Adams: "Suppose a nation in some distant Region should take the Bible for their only law Book, and every member should regulate his conduct by the precepts there exhibited! Every member would be obliged in conscience, to temperance, frugality, and industry; to justice, kindness, and charity towards his fellow men; and to piety, love, and reverence toward Almighty God ... What a Eutopia, what a Paradise would this region be."Leave a comment:

I'm reasonably convinced there were at least two in the approximately one hundred (statistics would indicate about ten, I wonder who the other eight were) sailors I served with on SSN592. They seemed trustworthy enough for me.Leave a comment:

The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods, or no God. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg.- Thomas JeffersonLeave a comment:

Personally, I'm for polygyny. Why shouldn't the government recognize this kind of marriage? Why discriminate against 3 or more consenting adults who want to form a union? How would that "break my leg or pick my pocket"? Love that quote mar1t1me, thanks.Leave a comment:
