I'm pretty sure that two dads or two moms can raise children just fine. It's not like anyone is policing straight married people to make sure they are producing offspring. And old barren people still get married - it's not like functioning genitals is a requirement for marriage.

If you are blocking same-sex marriage based on the lack of offspring, you might as well ban women who cannot bare children as well - and those who don't have kids within a certain number of years must be divorced and be fruitful elsewhere.

OK, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you know something about normative behaviors, sociology and homosexuality that I don't (highly unlikely though.)

please explain to me several things. please give scientific definitions and references when applicable.

1. what is normal behavior in humans? please define what constitutes normal behavior.
1a. what is sexually normal for humans, specifically?
1b. how does homosexuality fall in normal or abnormal behaviors?

2. how many species on earth have members that display homosexual behaviors?
2a. do any of these species mate for life?
2b. do any of these species exhibit the same lesbian, gay, bisexual tendencies that humans do?
2c. would homosexuality in animals be blamed on upbringing, environment, or a want to be different?

But I'll humor you with my own view on things.

1. Normal, ie, the average or norm. On an average day, how many homosexuals do you interact with vs. those who are not.

1a. What have we been doing to progress life for thousands and thousands of years?

1b. Again, look at what is the norm. Also, seems a bit strange that homosexuality seems to have exploded in the past 100 years or so.


2. Many. Does that make it normal within a species? There are many different species of animals that can "paint" for example. Is that normal?

The rest I simply cannot comment on, as that is past my knowledge. But just to throw in it there, do animals exhibit and feel "peer pressure" and other such feelings as humans do?
