That's why I said CUT spending along with a tax increase......it's going to be the only way to start paying off the debt.

bill clinton CUT tax rates and congress limited the increase in government spending
viola - surplus

and besides, none of this is rocket science. if you limited the federal government to a 2% INCREASE in spending annually the budget would balance in something like 7 years

I think you're confusing the Mack-Penny plan, where by cutting the budget 1% each year for the next 6 years would balance the budget.
