There are lots of problems with it breaking down a lot quicker in tanks (being motorcycles are not typically a daily riden thing) and also swelling up a lot of fuel lines in the tank and giving them problems with fuel pumps and some injectors. Not to say that they need to step up the stuff they make their products with. But that is just that. It makes things not so happy.

Semi related story - I remember back when they started phasing in E10. My parents had a ski boat with a 1973 Mercury 115hp, an inline 6 two stroke outboard. It had wooden floats in the carburetors that would swell up when exposed to the gasahol and then get stuck so as not to allow themselves to "float" anymore. For a while we tried sticking with straight gas but after a while it got so hard to find; we got a retro-fit kit from Mercury marine that included hollow plastic floats for the carbs."I think we consider too much the good luck of the early bird and not enough the bad luck of the early worm."
