Hey, in-person voter fraud has proven to be a huuuge problem! The Nation Republican Lawyers Association found, in a 10 year period, just 340 cases of voter fraud throughout the entire United States. That's nearly 0.7 cases per state per year! Something must be done! -
Yeah, having to show your ID to go vote is OUTRAGEOUS!!!!Need parts now? Need them cheap? steve@blunttech.com

Have you actually researched the issue? In person voter fraud simply doesn't happen. It's not a problem. All these laws do is prevent poor and minority voters from getting to vote, groups which vote overwhelmingly for Democrats. The state of Pennsylvania admitted in court (its voter ID law is being challenged) that "the parties are not aware of any incidents of in-person voter fraud in Pennsylvania." And then there's this surprisingly honest admission.Comment

There is a reason that Republicans and the GOP are so strongly in favor of various rules to restrict voting rights, because they are banking on it helping them to win.
The GOP is supposed to pretend that its 2012 strategy doesn't include the systematic disenfranchisement of lower-income blacks and Latinos. But in June, Mike Turzai, Republican majority leader of the Pennsylvania House, blew his party's cover by blurting out: "Voter ID, which is going to allow Gov. Romney to win the state of Pennsylvania? Done."Comment

Didn't read the links, about to go out to the garage, but again, I really don't see how having to show a photo ID is a big deal. And you know I'm not a fan of Republicans, so it's not some blind, spouting the part line bullshit.
You have to show ID for literally everything these days.........except electing politicians?Need parts now? Need them cheap? steve@blunttech.com

I've always found it very strange that I do not have to show ID when voting, to me it just seems like that is the way it should be.
On topic, not voting for the giant douche or turd sandwich.
If Romney actually gave two shits about fiscal conservatism then he would have my vote (oh and wasn't Mormon) and if Obama actually put an emphasis on public education and scientific research then he would have mine. Since neither do anything about what they claim is a priority, I'll be writing my penis in. There are a lot more examples of things they say are important but actually ignore but those are the ones I chose to write.sigpicComment

Showing an ID just makes sense.
I mean, if I have to show photo ID to make a library card which is far less important why is it such a big deal? Its just making a case so people don't vote twice, or vote from out of country... So why are you guys being so stupid, why isn't it already a requirement?
