Gotta agree with the Swedes on this...does that make me a bad person? Maybe, but I have seen/read too much about the negatives of Islam. Yes, it is a small percentage that give it a bad name but with enough power that small percentage can become dominant.

i think the immigration thing is a lot more complicated in the usa. it's a really young nation that was formed with a melting pot of people.

sweden is another thing entirely, they've been that way for a millenia, so for these somalis to go into sweden and then start trying to change shit is really intolerant of THEM. they immigrated there, they should immediately have tried their best to assimilate into the swedish culture.

the usa... well.. fuck islam too. but my views on immigration are largely based on the native american (that's north, central, and south) populations. i dont really think we have a right to say that because we moved the border 150-200 years ago they cant come into the country. that's really stupid. and that's one of my many criticisms of it.

I'm bored with immigrants. Not because its "my land" but because its a double standard.

Someone comes here and we are expected to bend over backwards to accommodate them, even to the point of making our standing laws useless. (like the burqa DL pictures) but if you go to their country you are an "ignorant American" or an "infidel" if you don't grow a beard and beat women.

Hell, most of the people who are rallying against us came here and were educated by our higher educational system. They love the western resources but want to kill all of the people who provide them.

Id say we need a new "Fairness in Immigration Act" that basically imposes the same kind of policies on immigrants from a nation that the nation would place on its own immigrants. Of course, that would result in us basically preventing anyone from coming in and/or treating them like slaves since that is basically what every other nation on the planet does.

People need to be practical about immigration instead of turning it into some moral and ideological debate. You can't just erase a border between 2 countries. Somalia is a shit hole, it is in fact the biggest shit hole on the entire planet, and you can't just accept every Somali that wants to immigrate to Sweden. That would in effect bring Somalia right to Sweden and turn Sweden into the same dump that Somalia is. Picture a lake of clean water next to a lake of polluted water with a dam between them. If you break that dam, yes it is true that the lake of polluted water will become cleaner, but the lake of clean water will also become diluted and unclean. That is what unchecked immigration does.

The same thing can be said of Mexico. I don't think Mexico is a shit hole, but it is definitely a poor and undeveloped country with high crimes rates, low education rates, etc. By all means, give Mexicans the opportunity to come to America and make the most of it. But it is absolutely necessary that we carefully choose the people that immigrate. That is what immigration laws are designed to do, to pick the best candidates and partially prepare them for living in the US and being a contributing member. Anybody who believes that it is practical to open borders and offer literally everyone the opportunity to immigrate to a country is not seeing the big picture.
