Of course not everyone who is criticizing the president on his performance, behavior, decisions, statements, ect is doing so because they are racist against black people or mixed race people.

That said, however, I do feel that there is a significant percentage of those who dislike the president strictly on their feelings about black or mixed race people, but these people probably disagree with his policy, statements, decisions, ect anyway.

You can't conclude much about someone's mindset about racism simply because they criticize part or all of the government.

Some people are pretty in-eloquent about hiding their true feelings though.

And there are a massive contingent who only voted for him because of his race. Then got airbrushed Obama t-shirts to commemorate it.

I beleieve that all but a small minority of those who oppose Obama dislike him for reasons other than racism.

Mostly, I would say that its due to a sea of mis-information floating around and people are not fully understanding what Obama has done or is working for. Those that do think they understand what he is working for are afraid of it based on their own fear of change and the doom and gloom that has been trumped up by various pundits and candidates.

Lincoln was not a popular president in his time. In fact he was hated by people on all sides. If you ever get a chance to visit the recently established Lincoln Memorial Library and Museum in Springfield, I really recommend the experience. They've got a corridor you walk through that is just lined with political cartoons of the era demonizing Lincoln....some of it disgustingly rude....far worse than anything I've seen or heard about Obama.

That put a lot of things in perspective for me.
