sometimes being a leader in the military means you have to pick and choose who dies. is it worth a rushed evac attempt to save 4 people if it means 15-20 potential casualties? maybe 4 will die regardless. that was a mob of hundreds. even if the enemy combatants were just a handful, the whole mob could turn deadly if the us military shows up shooting.

All they had to do was send the tank in the sky over and pop the targets that were being lazed.

There was no mob or protest outside the embassy. The battle went on for hours and the State Department was watching live. The US had the ability to send in troops or C130 gun ships which were ready and in stand by 30 minutes away. Dignitaries are high value people to this country and the US should have sent in assistance to evacuate the embassy.

Yep. Fox leads with this still. Even through Hurricane Sandy, they led with Benghazi. It's bullshit. They act like the Pres. & Co. watched it in HD and said "fuck it". Never mind it was night on the other side of the world, the only images from an unarmed aircraft with no hover capability.

More died on 9/11 than at Pearl and they had months of warning, even one in August that stated "attack was imminent", yet GWB was caught reading a book about a pet goat while the Towers burned. I will be pissed about that long after Benghazi has been relegated to a historical footnote.

                  ^

All I really took form that was 9/11 was Booshes fault

FDR knew that the Japaneses were maneuvering into striking range of pearl long enough before December 7th, to have done something as well (oh wait the carrier fleet was out on maneuvers). So to stick with your logic Pearl Harbor was FDRs fault too correct.

Also both of these examples are not really applicable to the Benghazi situation, as during those 2 historic incidents nothing could have been done really to stop or slow the attacks once in progress. With Benghazi on the other hand, there was plenty of resources only minutes away that could have used to prevent the needless deaths of a high level US diplomat, his staff and under equipped and staffed security contingent. Huh seems like a no brinier to me
