The human race by nature is destined to fail. Why does this guy even bother trying to talk about shit like this?

We have had brief periods of illumination, but I hold little hope for our long term survival. Too infantile.....too selfish.....lacking vision.

Guys, humanity isn't doomed. Even though individualism can be seen as a selfish and flawed trait it's also our saving grace. This hate and anger that you see in this world has been the consequence of few peoples profiting from such emotions for huge amounts of power and wealth. If humanity wouldn't live in such a dualistic reality our real potential for good and balance could be realized.

civilizations rise and fall, each time rising higher and falling farther than the last. you would be a fool to not expect history to repeat itself.

How can you say that when you can't even verify our history?

I can see the rising above but not the falling farther. Most civilizations that fall fall completely. There are many many examples of the fall. Few only fall partly then make a recovery. And usually only because they've been combined with another civilization.

LB tell me how a civilization can fall further than complete nonexistence in the form they once existed? Or are you confused with race vs civilization?
