    Of course food and water are important. Especially if you are in zone at risk. And be sure to have a manual can opener too, just in case. People should have general prep (hand-wind flashlight/radio, batteries, water) at home, and I also keep winter emergency kit in the car too.

    But there's a difference between healthy disaster preparation and apocalyptic preparation - assuming that all of society is going to collapse and silver will save you.

      To me the silver coinage thing is just kinda fun way to fiddle fart around and do something semi useful with my down time watching tv at night. Go to several bank branches buy 500-1000 bucks in coinage. Go though it all sorting out the wanted dates and any thing that might be interesting. Throw all the stuff you dont want back into a box take it back to the bank and put it back into your account. Wait a while and do it all again with different branches or banks.

      Its no risk silver mining hehehehehehe. Will they ever be practically worth more than 10 Cents NO prolly not, but .
