        Another pointless law....

This will be a stupid bill, but where did that link mention a grandfather clause at all?

Good. Ban them both (assault weapons and hi-cap mags) and make them illegal to own, buy, sell, trade or operate.

Don't like it? Move to Somalia. They've got lots of automatic weapons, no taxes and very little government. You'll love it.

This law will probably have several salary increases for Congress laced in there too.

Fienestine was going to introduce this day one Hour one after winter break anyway since the O man was elected to a second term. This was not new news, they just have some potent new fuel to power it though.

And tell me this oh great genius. If it kills grandfathering. It makes your current owned weapons worth the going price of SCRAP no more no less. Or what ever the local buy back will give you for it. Because if its not grandfathered 1 of 2 things will happen. 1) You will be an illegal firearm owner and have to turn it in or become a felon if your caught with it, so you cant take it out in public ever again and there for pointless to own if you cant use it or transport it . Or you will be allowed to keep it but not allowed to transfer it period, via private party or retail. If you cant sell it legally then its worth the price of scrap.

Darrin how about you move to Japan or Singapore or someplace that has an out right ban on firearms if you dont like them so much. You have the rights to do that, just like you have the rights to own weapons in this country. You dont have to partake, but that dose not mean it gives you the RIGHTS to Infringe on MY RIGHTS to keep and bare arms.

I, and I know many others, love going to gunshows the several times a year they come through the area.

They do do background checks too. Sam had to stand around for a few hours waiting on one when he got his Saiga.

There is no such thing as a GUN SHOW LOOP HOLE. that was a misnomer to try and stop them. As it is now you still have to undergo a background check when you buy at a show just like the store.

and you still have not answered my question

The "loophole" is not sales at gun shows. Some states allow private party transactions without background checks, and some people believe this leads to private party sales in the parking lots.

Someone here has done private party sales in the show itself.

                              Legal? Probably not

                              Did it stop them? No.
