EDIT: finished watching the vid. A lot of truth in there, you DO need to train. But, I think there ARE people that are able to react effectively in those situations, and those are the people who tend to want CWPs, not the people that these cops picked out. It is obvious what the intended message of this video is right from the get-go.

also if you watch everytime the person sits in the same spot and the guy running in shoots the teacher then aims straight for them.
I know people who have CCW and they do practice getting their weapon out because that's is the pinch point.

CCW is definitely not a bad thing and the guy in the story is a total idiot. With that said I do believe it should be more difficult to get than just going down to the courthouse and paying 20 bucks. You should have to go through a training course and a test kinda like drivers ed.

thats how it is in most states. You have to show proof you have had some kind of gun safety training, some take it a bit further and have approved courses with a basic hands on skills test, (the same one cops use to qualify with ) with out muzzling yourself or anyone else and show safe Handling practices.

OP is a great example of someone who tries to push an opinion based on rhetoric rather than fact. Roughly 1.5 million times per year (according to a study done by the Clinton Administration in 1994(there are many others like it)), private guns are used to deter criminals from committing a crime. I imagine that statistic has increased with population growth. That is a fact.
