Fox News shitting themselves scared over Al-Jazeeras purchase of Current TV

Some of the knee-jerk reactions from conservative critics include Bill O’Reilly saying that “Gore has shamed himself simply by selling to Al-Jazeera.” Frequent Fox News guest Matt McCall saying of Gore that “To me, he’s now associating himself with Al-Qaeda.” Glenn Beck complained that his own sham attempt to bid on Current was dismissed and therefore Gore is un-American. Stuart Varney of Fox News defended Beck by castigating Gore for rejecting Beck but saying “Okay [to] big oil, the sheikhdom of Qatar.” The uber-rightist Media Research Center’s Dan Gainor alleged that “lefties love Al-Jazeera” and then whined that “The purchase is part of a larger trend of foreign media outlets.”
A Tale of Two Als: Oil, Terror, and a $500M Television Deal.
    hahahah!

Sometimes I miss my old job, the owner of the company loved Fox News (he was hispanic, they sure didnt love him, lol) and it was really entertaining to hear some of the things they say.

The news that Qatar-based Al-Jazeera has agreed to purchase Al Gore’s Current TV has stirred controversy throughout the mediasphere. For the most part the debate has been driven by conservati…

I guess their is no hypocrisy in the environmental godfather selling his station to an oil rich state run co who have intentionaly delayed terorist released propaganda on the day before capital gains and income taxes which he agued and rallied for were to take effect. He is def truely commited to his cause.

He would make a fine politician.

You really think that fox news is going to lose any viewer ship to the Taliban news net work. ????? Your really think they are going to pick up more viwership with it on normal sat tv than those whom already have their dishes pointed to the international programing sat. and already get the the Arab news/

They are not shitting them selves in fear, they are pointing out the hypocrisy of shit bag AL, trying to get it done before the 2013 tax hikes were in effect.

I like how Beck was turned down to buy said net work because the "agendas" didnt line up.

Kershaw are you really so blindly faithful to not see the complete disrespect of gore making this deal. If I were a greenie and left kind of guy I would take it as an insult that this deal was done. Will gore get a free pass and go back to being the voice of the environmentalists or will your peers call Gore for what he is a self serving capitalist. (Which I have no problem with) I do have a problem with a capitalist bashing and trying to handicap the very economic system he exploits.

I am not a repub or demo and think fox has gone of the deep end in the last 4yrs as far as unbiased programming goes. Just as cnbc and currenttv.

No you wouldn't you would rejoice at it, most of the hippie greenies want to do the same thing to the US as the Taliban and thats bring it down, its just they want to go about is not really the same, unless of course you go old school and all Bill Ayers (the o mans good friend and mentor) weather underground style, then there are a lot alike.

They have wanted to bring down the govt and the corporations "man" since the early 60's and look who is in charge and doing just that.................. Though the banks and the Corporations are a little more intrenched and not going along with it

This sale while Hypocritical selling to a green enviro tv network based on free speech is sold to a sheikdom based on Petroleum, the end game for both groups is the same, so the whole enemy of my enemy is my friend thing is how I see this one.

Gore isn't a voice for environmentalists. He did one fucking propaganda film years ago and was ripped apart from the get go by both ends of the political spectrum. When was the last time he even spoke on an issue? I don't remember hearing his name even once during the election. He's an investor who happens to have much of his money in the "green" industry. Not because he has principles or anything, but because it's profitable. I don't think he even tries to hide this.

And do you really think that selling Current TV to Al Jazeera is going to hurt the credibility of television news? Because it's obvious to me that credibility went out the door a long time ago.

Yes broadcasting the beheading of Daniel Pearl, to further jihadist sentiment, or the attempt to cover up/downplay the brutal Sexual assault of CBS reporter Laura Logan in Egypt at the hands of mob of anti American/Mubarak protesters is just chalk full of credibility, and the ideals of this country

Not surprised by some of you

Gore has his dough in Hara. A company leeching the fraudulant cap and trade business, a carbon credit middle-man. Their profits are est. to be somewhere near $25bil in a couple years, depending on captrades like Cali's.
Discover Accruent Observe, the leading IoT remote monitoring and energy management system. Optimize energy usage, improve efficiency, and manage assets smartly.

That's 25bil. in something virtual, offering zero benefit to the public. This wouldn't be possible without the alarmist shananigans and propaganda films.

Bias occurs everywhere, but I'll take Al Jazeera any day for facts and the full story over the most watched network in America, Faux news. Or do you prefer having your tv dinner with Glenn Beck and the two token hot blondes?
