This is ridiculous, but OT why does a kid need a .22 HK lookalike?

"need" has nothing to do with it, and the use if the word infers prejudice. we none of us "need" to drive e30's.

Nowhere in Canada is the speed limit more than 110kmh, why does your car need to go faster than that? We should limit them all. Why is alcohol legal? It serves no useful purpose and causes more deaths, pain and suffering than guns do.

And to answer your original question. Why the hell not? Maybe we should go to your garage and trash your hobbies. Why do you need an e30 when a civic will suffice? Why do you need air tools? Can't use your hands? Why do you need a 60" tv? Why do you need anything?

That'll vary from person to person. I asked it because i wanted to get some discussion going, but fuck it..

I think children possessing firearms which are aesthetically fashioned after weapons designed for war glorifies them as toys and promotes gun culture negatively. I think the prevalence of firearms in the US as well as the overall gun culture has had a negative impact, and that people have taken a lackadaisical approach to understanding when a firearm is necessary and when it is not. I've said it before, when you're rushing out of the house and your grab your keys, wallet and gun as though all are necessary to go about your day there is something fundamentally wrong with that society.

You're from Ontario, you're already told what weapons you do and do not need as well as what you can and cannot have. This applies to a multitude of other items which are heavily restricted, do you regularly complain about those as well?
