The problem with the shutdown is that 'our government' is not the republicans, or the democrats, to shut down.

The government is the people, and instead of the peoples representatives sitting down at a table and saying 'well our people dont want obamacare, what can we do about it' - 'well, our people do want obamacare, so you can try and get elected next year and reverse it, sorry'.

Instead of talking about it like normal people they are holding ALL the american peoples credit rating for hostage and throwing the country into ruin. Imagine if this happened on nearly every 50/50 decision split. WHAT IF it will continue to happen like this on every decision?

We have almost a million more democrats in our state compared to republicans, and yet they somehow control everything. Our unaffiliated voters are just 200k behind registered republicans before they become the 2nd largest 'party' in the state. If they keep up this devisive negotiation that hurts everyone then they are only taking themselves out in the end.
