almost every time the government regulate moral laws it has failed. Prohibition failed, drug war fail, internet piracy failed - just to name a few. the US also has one of the highest divorce rates, maybe this is one that they government should just get out of.

Your analogy is flawed. Under most normal circumstances, driving 100mph on a freeway is dangerous. I don't care how good a driver it is, there are too many variables preventing absolute avoidance of an accident. The action occurs in a public space and the risk to others is unacceptably high.

Having sex outside of marriage, again under most normal circumstances, poses little threat. This holds true not only to the consenting adults engaged in it, but to society at large. In other words, it is not inherently dangerous to the participants or passersby.

Something is immoral when it endangers others - emotionally, physically, mentally - or otherwise burdens the participant or society. Unless two people are engaged in non-consensual sex in public on Christmas Day on top of a burning US flag while throwing grenades at bystanders - there really is no impact on society.

What I would say is immoral is bringing a child into the world in circumstances of drug use, extreme poverty, or if there is a threat of health issues (passing on HIV, etc). None of those issues disappear with marriage, however.

I'm confused by the question about Astrology explaining everything in the religion section. Did they mean Astronomy? Or can someone explain the connection between horoscopes and non-pagan, modern Abrahamic religions?

                    Anyways, these were my results:

Because Astrology is a religious/spiritual topic. Why does it have to relate to non-pagan, modern Abrahmic religions?

Because all of the questions in the religious section were in context to modern political issues tied to religion. Abortion, premarital sex, etc. Issues that resonate with practitioners of Abrahamic religions.

So I thought "Astronomy" would have made more sense, aka Big Bang Theory vs "Let there be light" (especially in the classroom), vs Astrology, aka Zodiac signs and the like...

Meaning, Astrology doesn't resonate politically like Astronomy could. It would be like asking me how I felt about Greek mythology. It's not really a hot issue within our political system and wouldn't be a factor in determining my political leanings.. Just curious why they chose Astrology I guess..

Except Greek mythology isn't a relevant religious ideology in modern times, where there are tons of people that buy into astrology. It affects people's opinions and beliefs about certain subjects.

I guess I discounted the number of people who actually think their horoscope is relevant... Not to bash anyone's beliefs but I always thought it was akin to a fortune cookie.

                            Cheers!

Don't get me wrong, I think it is as silly as any other fairy tale, but I know people that are pretty serious about it. I mean, you can't find a newspaper without a horoscope, right?
