The Arizona faction seems to default to this whenever someone challenges their way of thinking. Must be something in the water.

Great thing about Arizona, Phoenix especially, is that no one is from here. So "the Arizona faction just jumps to this" is stereotyping when in fact most of us aren't from here. Slap the shit out of smooth for me on Sunday.

A Tosh.0 production assistant, victim of a knife attack and running for his life, was killed by cops last night in LA:

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department acknowledged Thursday that its deputies mistakenly shot and killed a aspiring TV producer they thought was a stabbing suspect.

I sincerely hope that Americans are starting to realize that our police forces, across the country, are being trained and taught to "shoot first, ask questions later". Why is shooting someone ALWAYS the first thing they try when they think someone, or themselves, are in danger? Why is lethal force seemingly always the answer to a perceived threat?

This guy was bleeding and running for his life, with no weapon, and they still shot him dead. What ever happened to just tackling a guy? Or using a taser? Instead, an innocent man is dead and the cop will be back to work tomorrow.

One answer might be that most/many police do not actually live in or near their communities so they're prone to the us v them mentality. Not on the pulse with the citizens, limited connection to the people...so on. That is probably exacerbated when you add in the racial context.

Police jobs end up more about security and less about actual policing and police work.

Nothing like quoting a story that's 4 months old and trying to further your agenda. Unless you can't read for yourself and you're just regurgitating another dullard's sentiments.

                          Yeah, goddamnit.

Find the victim of death by cop from the past two weeks!

It doesn't count if it is older than that!

A human life taken is a tragedy regardless the circumstances. When you misrepresent facts to exploit a tragedy is when I get annoyed. People like that just add to existing tensions and do nothing to work toward a solution.

Does the fact that it happened 4 months ago change anything? I don't think it does.

Agenda? No, I don't have one, and if you read my post you'd see that what I said was that I hope people are becoming aware of the increasing use of deadly force by US police officers in situations that do not warrant it. That's not an agenda, it's a statement.

Regurgitation? Again, no. I didn't copy, quote, regurgitate or otherwise paraphrase anyone else. My comments are entirely my own.

In what way did I misrepresent anything? Please show me where something I said was inaccurate to the facts.
