I didn't even bring up race in this whole thread you worthless shitlord.
You're the one demanding a double standard when you complain that it didn't get enough coverage based on what...that there was no riots?
How do you even quantify that it didn't get enough coverage? Because it didn't appease your high standards of journalism coverage? not enough google search results? not enough coverage based off what you remember from watching the tv?
The answer is: you don't have any sort of standard and you can't even quantify how much coverage a given topic really receives or deserves to receive.

A quiet article on CNN != national media coverage. And yes, I am really upset that this story didn't garner as much attention as a thug getting killed after attacking a police officer/neighborhood watch guy
And just to set things straight, no, I don't hate black people. Also, I'm not from around here and probably not what some of you would consider "white"

What I do hate, though, is the way race is handled/viewed in this country. It's fucking stupid and extremists (I'm looking at you Brave) do NOT help when they enable and normalize the double standards set by the American media/justice system when it comes to race. Equality will ONLY come when all are truly treated equally.Leave a comment:

How are you possibly claiming this didn't get national attention when you're fucking posting a link to CNN?FTFY. And you're right, it is a ridiculous, silly double standard. However, unfortunately, this is how things work in this country. Politicians know that most white Americans are simply too lazy or can't be bothered to riot, whereas minorities get fucking angry and do riot, so why not appease the more violent/malcontent masses?
Case example: Travon Martin and that kid from Ferguson got national attention, yet this fucking tragedy didn't. There is NO MENTION AT ALL of the race of the perpetrator or the victim in this article. The only way you'd know is if you saw the pictures. But switch the skin color and you'd have a fucking national disaster on your hands. The minority crowd would be screaming for blood, the perpetrator would be painted as a neo-natzi racist demonspawn by the media (because that's literally the only reason whites commit crimes on non-whites these days, right?) instead of the more accurate description of simply being a deranged psychopath. If media coverage isn't biased on who commits violence on who in this country I'm a monkey's uncle
The dude was arrested and convicted in less than 6 months, to life in prison. Are you trying to say that the system failed to put someone in jail?
I can't even figure out what you're really complaining about other than you seem to be really upset that they didn't spell out that he's black, but instead, showed a mugshot of the person who was arrested and convicted of this crime.
Are you fucking retarded? Serious questionLeave a comment:

Dude that's not racist, that's the cold hard truth. Be honest with yourself - is that statement wrong? *not morally, I mean factuallyLeave a comment:

FTFY. And you're right, it is a ridiculous, silly double standard. However, unfortunately, this is how things work in this country. Politicians know that most white Americans are simply too lazy or can't be bothered to riot, whereas minorities get fucking angry and do riot, so why not appease the more violent/malcontent masses?'If a white person attacks a minority person, it definitely gets reported on or covered in the news because if it didn't there would be riots.'
'If a minority person attacks a white person, it gets covered up or ignored because if the case was brought into the limelight, any sort of sentencing would be construed as unfair, unjust or racist in the eyes of the minority population and would cause civil unrest [read: rioting]. It is in the interest of the police and politicians to prevent incidents like this'

Why not? I've said it before and I'll say it again: whether the killings were motivated by religious hatred or parking conflicts, the bottom line is that someone murdered 3 innocent kids in cold blood. That's kind of a big deal!
What agenda?
There's a blatantly obvious double-standard going on here:
'If a white person attacks a minority person, it shouldn't be reported on or covered in the news because it's not important and race plays no part.'
'If a minority person attacks a white person, it gets covered up because race clearly was an issue and there's a conspiracy.'
See how silly that is?Leave a comment:

Why do you think people were upset enough to protest and riot for some of these events? It's obviously more than the fact that someone died while engaged with the police. When's the last time a minority on non-minority crime got media coverage like the recent Travon Martin, Ferguson and Garner cases? OJ Simpson? People were ready to RIOT if he got indicted. The police and politicians have pressured the media to keep minority on non-minority crimes under wraps to avoid shit like this.
But hey, at least if you disagree with this you can fall back on a non-substantial reply of "ur stupid"
Go ahead and move those goalposts though as it appears that you're backing down from your baseless assertion that the media is engaged in a wide-spread conspiracy suppresses coverage of crimes against white people :rofl:Leave a comment:

Jalopi has a point. Back it up Brave.
No matter the motivation, this story shouldn't get national attention and is obviously serving an agenda. If these were my relatives, I would of respected their lives and their deaths by stopping this media circus.Leave a comment:

You're totally right, it's my fault for calling you out for making such an outrageously stupid statement:
I should know better than to expect a rational reply from anyone who thinks up shit like this.Leave a comment:

No, my point is that you're also guilty making non-substantial arguments all the time, just like everyone else. It's almost like you expect people to provide references for each opinion or statement that they make like they're writing a goddamn term paper. I could understand your stance if you made statements like:
"I think X is X"
But that's not the case. If you disagree with someone's opinion, you cry "blah blah blah you can't prove it you don't have sources let me see your sources blah"
Play by your own rules or be labeled as an opinionated asshole, just like the rest of usLeave a comment:

Wait, so it's my fault you're making a non-substantial argument about who gets demonized in the media? You can't prove or substantiate anything that you're claiming is happening regarding who gets demonized by "the media" and who doesn't.Dude your arguments always seem to revolve around some variation of "let me see your sources/references", followed immediately by your (obviously unbiased) opinion. Even if someone does provide a link or article it's dismissed because it doesn't agree with your opinion. I'm pulling a verbal Judo and tossing your signature tactic right back at you
This is just how the media portrays crime now. If a non-minority (read: white) commits a crime on a minority person, they're "bad" and "evil". It could never be because they're just fucking crazy or something. But portray a minority as "bad" and "evil" after committing a crime against a non-minority? People would lose their fucking minds. The minority group portrayed as "bad" and "evil" would be screaming for blood and someone at the media outlet would definitely be fired.
The reason I asked you to do this is because the onus is on you to prove your own arguments, not for me to prove them for you.Leave a comment:

Also, the point I was trying to make about your area is that desensitization is totally a thing. When someone only gets killed once about every three weeks I bet people do lose their shit about it and the incident gets media coverage. When someone's getting killed roughly ever other day it's not that big a deal any more.
(inb4 variation of "do you even check your sources")
