I'm in the greater Seattle metro area, not some isolated city, so I'm not sure what point you were trying to make with that comment. Just because the suburb city of Lynnwood does not have a lot of murders doesn't mean I don't listen to what happens locally in the news.

As for the rest of your post, I'm not sure what you want me to show or prove--you're demanding something that entirely depends on your perspective of 'demonizing' and it's pretty obvious that you're not particularly adept at judging what that qualification is or how often it happens.

Considering you come from a town where a triple murder would be almost half of the total murders in the past decade, yeah that would probably be big news for your town.

If you can find ANYTHING that demonizes a minority involved in a minority-on-white crime like how whites are commonly demonized in white-on-minority crime in the media I'd like to see it.

And no, facebook / social media rants don't count. Terror attacks / military actions don't count either, the media gobbles that shit up like candy. It has to come from a legit media outlet

However, crimes with white victims tend to not to get media coverage because it'd be "bad PR" or "not fair", so we wouldn't even get the chance to "git to-a llynchin' " since we wouldn't even know about the crime anyway
Do you even try to substantiate the validity of your own claims when you say something like this? your definition of "to not get media coverage" is so entirely subjective that it's laughable.

Pretty much any triple murder is uncommon enough to warrant getting on the news.

That one was a bit too public for the media to not cover.

Oh yes and Baltimore City IS a steaming cesspool of shittyness. Ever seen the wire? It's really not a far throw from an accurate description of the city

Is this a tragic story? Yes. But is it newsworthy? No. However, someone wanted this story in the limelight and decided to cry "Hate crime!", which seems to be the magic ringer for good publicity these days. When are people gonna figure out that "Deranged redneck dying to live out his 'self-defense' fantasies" != racist

Wow, I'm glad I don't live in nasty shithole places like you guys.

Here in the civilized world we consider a triple homicide (no matter the motives) to be newsworthy, and quite serious. Maybe it was about religion, maybe it wasn't. Does that mean we should stick our head in the sand and pretend it's not even a possibility? Of course not.

BTW, immediately jumping to the conclusion that it can't possibly be about their race/religion because they happen to be arab/muslim, and that the whole thing isn't newsworthy and only gets attention because of "race", is the very definition of racism :)

If a Muslim neighbor had shot dead 3 white college students, you'd all be foaming at the mouth ready to start our next foreign war.

Thanks for the correction, but wow has the article changed since earlier today. I was trying to poke a stick at the media. Forget the upgrade to religion, they have gone full blow hate crime.

    Sensational

Not surprised by the "usual suspects" in this thread so far expressing their ignorance.

No, Muslim woman wear their Hijab (headwear) any time they are in public or in the line of sight of men. (if that's what you're talking about.)
