I know I don't live in the USA but I would not even know where to start if I wanted to buy a gun illegally.

You can't assume because you don't know how to that people who are already involved with crime will have a hard time. Inner city kids aren't exactly criminal masterminds, they're not hard to come by if you know where to look.

You can control the legal sale of guns, subsequently which over time one could predict this would have an positive effect on the illegal sales of guns.

As in my first post it just frustrates the shit out of me that every time there is a mass murder with firearms everyone argues about it but nothing every actually gets fixed or done about it.

While Pro and Anti gun are against each other why the fuck don't you work to together for simple laws around ownership.

Because few will venture upon common ground. The anti's want everything short of muzzle loaders outright banned, while the pro-gun types want unregulated access. As a Canadian I am all for licenses, I am thankful that someone who is a convicted domestic abuser WILL have his firearms seized.

But i would be willing to bet it would save some lives. Which is better then no lives, which is currently the outcome after every mass murder.
