I guess you are presuming that Trump is untrustworthy and untruthful in the first place. There is no evidence of him being those things.

There is no cognitive dissonance when comparing Trump and Hillary in regards to truth telling and trustworthiness. Hillary has a track record of being a liar and a thief while there is no track record on Trump.

The only claim someone can make against him is that they don't like his personality, what he professes to believe in and how big of promises he is making.

Trump may be a dickhead but he does care about SOME of the population, at least. Hillary blatantly does not give a fuck about anyone other than herself. He is a fool and about as far from a true leader as you could get, but I'd still pick him over that slimey waffleswaffleswaffleswaffles any day.

You have to remember that being president is all about working the system, schmoozing, and having the clout to get important people to listen to you/do what you want. While neither candidates are good choices, the political insider seems the lesser of the two evils to me.

It's also likely that anyone who wants to be president at all is not to be trusted, at least partly crazy, and certainy power hungry.
