the irony is, you guys are sticking up for them - but the people they are screwing is all of us, and I don't mean just me and my fellow "socialists" (lol, nice insult - anyone who doesn't agree, must be a socialist).
Not to mention, you don't get any real say in or benefits from the rules and exceptions that the wealthy lobby for.

That's honestly what I don't get. It's like defending the bully while he's punching them, blindly repeating, "might makes right, he's allowed to do this."

I just don't get it. Different set of principles, I guess.

Charity analysis of the 50 biggest US businesses claims Apple has $181bn held offshore, while General Electric has $119bn and Microsoft $108bn

More information on the legal "profit shifting" that corporations do to reduce their taxes.

“For every $1 spent on lobbying, these 50 companies collectively received $130 in tax breaks and more than $4,000 in federal loans, loan guarantees and bailouts,” said Oxfam.
I also thought this article, filled with quotes from ordinary people around world was interesting.

As a middle class taxpayer, who plays by the rules, I feel I have been treated unfairly. Tax avoidance has pushed the burden for paying for essential government services – the police, fire, utilities, infrastructure – on to people like me. As James Henry says: “if ordinary people are the only ones paying taxes, then you’ll have a tax revolt on your hands.” Joe Cook, United States

IRS and Treasury officials have taken part in two global summits to plan how the U.S. and other countries will use the documents to catch crooks.

I thought that was pretty hilarious. I wonder if anyone is going turn themselves in. The IRS is pretty relentless.

Don't think they would be directly on that list, I could see their "charities" employees/leadership being on it though.

It looks like the great Emma Watson is on the list, fellas. Luckily, it looks like it's nothing illegal. Can't let R3v's favorite girl go down, can we?
