Isn't that the truth. I appreciate the natural landscape here, but generally speaking, the people and politics leave much to be desired.

I think he means for everything. Next it's 4% for a can of beans, 37% for beer, 5% for a computer and so on and so on. Then they waste a.bunch of time figuring out what to tax and for how much...... then after a while oregon has an income tax and a sneaky ass "sales tax"

When everything gets taxed the use tax becomes essentially a sales tax. Slowly muddy the waters and over time people forget.
