Legalize them and treat them. The Portugal model has worked fantastic but the LEO lobby is strong. They know this will mean dramatically less funding for them.

Then they could go after real criminals, instead of smashing down the door of the guy down the street with 10lbs of weed.

I wouldn't say insane. He's a manipulative demagogue opportunistic prick who will say whatever his electoral base wants to hear. That includes "Grabbing them by the waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles", "Mexicans are rapist and thieves" or " Fascist dudes (with the white hood and tikki torches) are great guys" ;-)

What, exactly, does Singapore have to do with the extrajudicial killings, sanctioned by the gov't of the Philippines?

Trump has started a trade war against the rest of the planet. It's gonna be ugly. And Americans should expect that products made of steel and aluminum in the US will cost them more. Way more. So what do you think that US industries will do? Yup. They'll move their plants outside of the US. It will result in a higher cost of living and loss of jobs. Good work Cheetah ;-)

"It'll be 25 percent for steel. It will be 10 percent for aluminum. It'll be for a long period of time," Trump said at a listening session with steel and aluminum industry executives at the White House. "We'll be signing it next week. And you'll have protection."

What about the sanctions on S.Korean products? Now we get to pay more for Samsung, LG Hyundai (no thanks) etc.

I think it was that he doesn't realize Singapore isn't the Philippines. Like not close at all, and that it's actually a sovereign city-state on the Malay peninsula.

Good point, I didn't think he wouldn't get basic geography.

I just thought he was offering another distraction.

Don't blame him. One gets easily confused after getting "charmed" by Singapore's lady boys

As for Trump's trade war, isn't China the biggest owner of the US government's debt. $1,8 trillion I think. Which is the equivalent of the US having its ballz squeezed in a Chinese vice. Trump is definitely playing with fire.

Oh, let's remember this delicious thought from Cheetah.

Have you ever heard the saying:

"When you owe the bank $100 that's your problem. If you owe the bank $100,000,000; that's the banks problem."

What's China going to do? Call the note, crash both economies (and the World economy)........yeah, that seems intelligent.

"China's position as America's largest banker gives it some political leverage. Now and then, China threatens to sell part of its debt holdings. It knows that if it did so, U.S. interest rates would rise. That would slow U.S economic growth. China often calls for a new global currency to replace the dollar, which is used in most international transactions. China does this whenever the United States allows the value of the dollar to drop."

What Happens If China Called in Its Debt Holdings

"China would not call in its debt all at once. If it did so, the demand for the dollar would plummet like a rock. This dollar collapse would disrupt international markets even more than the 2008 financial crisis. China's economy would suffer along with everyone else's.

It's more likely that China would slowly begin selling off its Treasury holdings. Even when it just warns that it plans to do so, dollar demand starts to drop. That hurts China's competitiveness. As it raises its export prices, U.S. consumers would buy American products instead. China could only start this process if it further expands its exports to other Asian countries and increases domestic demand."

Fucking our economy, fucks theirs. Pure and simple. It's not going to happen.
