Unfortunately most people are so brainwashed about being PC and such, they don't actually do research, study history, the Constitution, etc. Hence you're far-right bullshit self believing hate speech isn't protected.

The ENTIRE POINT of the 1st Amendment is to protect an individuals right to say things that are challenging, provocative (even for the sake of it), unpopular, etc.

I'd guess that where I got the opinion that hate speech wasn't protected stems from the fact that many media outlets say it quite regularly, and places seemingly have denied certain groups the permits or right to protest based on what they want to say (not allowing right wing Neo Nazi groups the permits to protest at certain events, etc). I'd assume that the police and or cities have the right to step in to prevent actual violence if it's imminent or actively occurring.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around his claims of motivating the police to do their jobs, it's mind blowing...

Is fascist just that fun to say? I find it hard to believe that anyone over the age of 14, with access to a computer, cannot see the hypocrisy in Antifa's antics. How do you not see the hypocrisy of it being a group of anarchists (anti government) and communists and socialists (in real world applications, literally a single leader in charge of everyone that takes from many to give to those it deems fit)? I've drastically cut back on my news intake in the past 3 years, and replaced it with novels. I get enough stress from work that I don't want to read about all the BS going on.

When I do stumble across something I want to learn more about, typically on Facebook or forums, I do check multiple sources though.

that anonymous tip happened because a grassroots social media campaign doxxed the guy and put his face on everyone's phone. don't give the police undeserved credit. the community is ultimately responsible for catching this guy. antifa is not directly responsible for this; we were just part of a multi-group community response, and if you can't imagine social media being used for this purpose, it's probably because you don't live in the bay area, where all of this technology stuff gets born.

How do you know the anonymous tip came from someone involved in your circus?
Glad the protesters were there to put him in cuffs and search for him, they're the *real* heroes here, cops don't deserve the credit.
