damn, i'm usually up to about 1.5G by the end of an illustration and my mac book pro hates me for it. I cant wait to stop working on this laptop and get a proper desktop wen ifinish school in may!

you should be rocking a mac my friend. What kind of PS work are you doing??? with those sizes i would say huge poster, or something for the side of a bus. and only 115 ppi? my not work half the size at 300 or 400 and then have room to enlarge the file after you flatten???

What sort of illustrations? Vector or wacom tablet style?
