I have m52 crank rods and pistons for sale if anybody interested (that would get you 2800cc). All you would need then is S50 / s52 pistons.

I was up above it, Now I'm down in it ~ Entropy - A Build thread.

ha ha i know the displacement of the S50/52 i didnt know if the blocks were the same. and ive seen people add a spacer to allow more room for stroke. i was just wondering which he had done.

Hey thats okay with me :)

are there any specs on that motor? how did he get half a liter more out if it? is the M50 that boreable (made a word!) or is it a spacer between the block and head?
its a e46 330 crank with custom rods and pistons..

yeep thats it.. its pulled out.. same as mine.

you cut the hole rear panel in the front, rear and under.. then pull it out and place some metal in the gaps thats made..

a quit easy job.. and looks awesome.. (almost standard)

What would happen if you did both of these things to an S5x? Would it work out and make as much power? Which pistons and rods were used? And is the rest of the head stock (springs, valves, etc.)?

What kind of power can you get at while actually being able to use it to move?

yeah you could.. but the s5x heads are close to perfection..

its just stupid to start diggin in a head like that :)

he is running.. crmo retainers, "race" springs (harder ones) and stainless steel valves

Maybe you are thinking about the Euro S5x is close to perfection. Not the US one. So you dont recommend any bottom end work on the US spec S5x?

whats the difference between us spec and euro spec? should be the same or ?

a lots of people have dynoed over 500whp with stock bottom end.. but if you are planning to go higher i would put some forged stuff in it.

lowering the compression and putting some nice head gasket is always a way to go

I think it is almost the same except for stronger springs, lifters and valves. Thats if I remember correctly. Plus the vanos is upgraded.
