Can't sleep, out of the blue had this memory of a movie scene with an e30 but I can't remember what movie it was. I think it was a 90's or early 2000's chick flick, lady was being driven around by her friend in an e30 (or it might have been an e36) and she was getting nervous because her friend was driving like a maniac on the highway. Anybody know it?

This is in the North east of Greece ,and they are chasing him because he has drugs in his car (the tyres at the last scene).He is begging his uncle( the customer ) to leave him to pass for the last time and after his uncle refused ,the chase started .The difficult parts from the chase were making from another stud/rally driver which was a great Greek rally driver and the owner of the car during 70's.

The new Joker movie has an E30 in it briefly. The movie is supposedly set in 1981, and it does give the feel of that era with the cars (lots of square GM/Ford/Chrysler sedans) but I did see a lot of cars that triggered my, um yah, that’s pushing it, response. Funny how so many who were portrayed as being rich drove these E30s in movies :D

In the 80's that's generally how it was. The majority of North American didn't really care about the Euro car scene in the 80's, as it was mostly about North American offerings from the big 3.
The lower e30 models 318i, 325e etc. were generally purchased for teens with rich parents.
Higher end ones (325es, 325is, M3) were for yuppies. Generally those 20-30 somethings who wanted an entry into the Euro car world.
