Agreed^ The vette driver lost his cool because he couldn't pass him even though he was faster. Thats racing, especially at Seca.

But he shouldve let the officials deal with the vette. And i never did hear how this ended.

i saw that race on tv when it happened. i wanted to punch the porsche driver in the face.


i like porsches way better than vettes, but if the other guy is faster, than you have to suck it up like a man. not run the guy into the wall.....

if i was on the crew for the vette, they would have needed everyone available to hold me back.

it's W2W racing, not an HPDE. if the guy can't get around you, he's not faster. Period.

This. And I say this because I spent a full season autocrossing e30 with it's stock m10 but with good suspension/tires and while it was deff. fun...it's way more fun and still faster with 2x the torque/hp and even better susp/tires.

Sure he's faster. Just not fast enough. You can be faster around a track than someone else, but if you're not good enough to pass them cleanly (or they're good enough to hold you off) then tough shit. There's no room for courtesy in a race. Ask any racer, any real racer.

i think that was a battle of drivers holy **** that was intense props to both clearly the m3 had a better driver and could maintain more momentum/speed through turns. I think they were both equally matched power wise. the "v8" car doesnt pull on the m3 on the straights.

but this thread is going to turn out to be an intense racing thread i like it!!

No way. Did you see how many times the Porsche ran the Vette off the edge when the Vette went outside?

Even racing, right up until the Vette got pushed in to the wall - at the point it becomes a drag race you put the hammer down and see who trips the win light.
