open stretch freeways around here are six lanes wide. catch them at the right time and theres no one on the road. track is better but still i dont see anything wrong with a little fun for a short period of time.

Nice vid man. hope to see you around some time again.

THANK YOU, a fellow San-Diegite knows how our freeways are, I've cracked 100 probably 4 times this whole year. Not worth the risk but it's a rush here and there.

Sorry. JDM roots. 300ZX project car. Flame away. and like I said I've hit 100mph about 3 or 4 times this year... there was not a single car and no on-ramps in sight.

Yours must have heat issues then? This was after driving 30 minutes and it was in the low 50's F.

Like I said slight uphill until 90, makes a difference. I would be pretty surprised if a bone stocker could pull the same.

Have a chip in there? I didn't see the rev limiter kick in and you were shifting at 7k.

                doesn't mean shit.

If you have a gps you can tell how shit your speedo is. Mines off by at least 8 mph after 45.

With a pretty beat M20 (track motor) I am maxing out at 125 on the back straight at Watkins Glen. That's on a cool day with a tow coming up the esses. Typically 118-120 is more like it.

Regarding acceleration? Maybe not (might even be a bit quicker since your IATs aren't going to be as hot), but it's not great to wring out a motor like that with thick cold oil (= shitty flow) and pistons/rings that haven't yet expanded to where they were designed to run.

Still doesn't matter, the motor will be fine. As soon as you start that motor oil is flowing.

First thing I noticed. Cars always produce more power when they are cold, but its a bad idea.
