A little background:
My final project for one of my photo classes is to make a photo slideshow to music. The teacher in his exact words wanted, "a begining, a middle, and an end." he also wanted it to tell a story, so basically a mini movie of sorts. I surveyed my class, who has some really bright students, and they all seemed to be going the movie route. i decided to do something a bit different and try to push my creative boundries even more.
I hooked up with a local dj crew that's pretty well known in the area, you can check them out at www.cerritosallstars.com
They agreed to let me shoot them as long as they receive a copy of the shots afterwards. i negotiated with them and agreed that in return for the shots, i could have a copy of the mix show i shot that night and use it for my final. after several hours of toiling on a cheap program, (windows movie maker) here's my final outcome. despite not being a film guy, i'm very pleased with it. i chopped and remixed the remix show to make it as clean sounding as i could. i actually took 3 songs from 3 different dj's of the night to make one 5 minute clip.
thank you for reading all of this, i'm very proud of this video.
