My original plan was to build a ps13 with red top SR20 with mild tuning, but the cliche the car had turned into made me sick. Drove my first e30 and bought it, had 3 so far and I definetly like to slip my angle. That shit was so in a nutshell it makes me mad....

yeah... RPS13 is the specific term for the fastbacks (hatch). Usually they are just referred to as S13.

Drifting is far from my thing, but it is nice to see some one taking there car out and doing some real driving events (even if it is drifting) rather than bad mouthing what everyone says on this forum.

Heck yea. I'll be at all the outbrake events this spring. Apparently they've got a better track this year than what is shown in the video. See ya there.

have you been to any of the Outbrake jeffersonville events this year? i blew out my aw11s master cylinder at the last one...the e30 still doesn't have coil overs, 6 events into the season on stock suspension and i have redefined the term "push", been using my open diffed mr2 more than the e30...

anyone have an opinion on ksport coils for the e30, i have a decent hook up with them...5/7 springs sounds decent but should i go ahead and have them bump that up...maybe 6/8 or 7/9?

by the way next event is Driftindy.com verse Outbrakemotorsports.com here in indianapolis...anyone else going....still haven't decided which car will be registered for the event.

7/9 minimum for drifting. even lightly tuned 240s run 7/9 which is one of the reasons they are easier to drift. top it off, e30s are heavier in the rear than 240s are.

For me, drifting is about celebrating how fun cars can be to drive, that's all. It's not about slavishly following the "best line". Each car has it's own personality and capability, and it's up to the driver to express each car's uniqueness. But it's mostly about taking your POS car and making yourself smile (and passengers shit their pants).

Drifting is kinda like smoking pot. You either harp on it and ignore how millions of people have enjoyed it for centuries, or you partake in the burning god and find out why it's so fucking fun.
