He really outclasses the field. A good driver in a very good car. There's all kinds of junk in there. It may have the trans-shifter tied into the engine management. The engine management blips the throttle enough to shift and the drivers foot stays to the floor.
Video is from STW race at Assen 2002. Comparable lap records at Zandvoort:
    Current DTM 1.35
    Formula Ford 2000 1.45
    2002 STW 1.51

they still have companies out there that make them, but as i recall, a friend of mine wanted to buy a 10 speed one about 3 or 4 years ago, and it was about 6000 euros. bolts right up to an m20 too.
If I recall right, they also put S14B20 motors into some of those e36 race cars.
it was in some racing parts catalog he got from some guy who still races an e30M3 I would look into it, but I am sure noone here has the cash for a trans like that.

Where would I start? Is there a specific company that does these or will yahoo search bring things up other than this thread and another on BF? (seems like it does this all the time) How shitty or good would this be to have in a regular car?

Start looking for a sequential, straight cut gear box.

That's only on pump gas. On race fuel it went upwards of 300.
