        I'm sure they'll be worked out by then...another $1,200 lens will set purchasing the body back a while, ha!

          I was raised in a Nikon family so I swear by it, and I shoot with a D200 (dad's), and I LOVE it... I still have a lot to learn though.

            From my experience it is not the camera's fault. There have been SOME issues with focusing but having used a 40d myself I have seen how someone that didn't know what was going on would say it is not focusing correctly.

            It goes off points of contrast...

              I completely agree on user error, but...

              I had many issues with my 40d, not only focusing, I was shooting a track event and ended up walking back to my car and switching back to my 20d cause the miss focusing was terrible. Threw the 20d in the same exact settings as I always use when shooting track stuff and didn't have a focusing issue for the rest of the weekend. Took my 40d back and exchanged it for a 5d in the end. 5d is amazazing!
