why my re01r's stick out 3 inchs... should smooth out air flow around the wheel and help the front stick down further on those long sweepers .... i think its a nice addiction to my 3 inch front splitter/ underpanel that spans to 6 inchs past the FCABS.

do you think it will really make a difference at speed? you autoX/track the car right? do you ever get over say 70/80 MPH? Im no expert my any means, however I dont think the cars front end creates enough lift/downforce. then again like I said, I am no expert. so if need be, someone take me to school
its for autocross and the track.... the car is a weekend warrior any track build.... also im up to 60mph (3rd gear with a 4.10lsd) at the local autocross events. Airstrip autocross ftw
reference picture of how far the front tires stick out.... should smooth out the air flow around them
FYI, canard or dive plates, are not used for down force, they are used to clear the airstream on the side of the car. When setup correctly they prevent turbulence from swirling under the car along the side skirt, thus causing lift of the body there. It is an ultra low percentage difference that is made, and have to be setup right. who knows what they are doing on your car. if you want to make a bigger difference do stuff to smooth the air hitting your fender/splitter extension in front of the wheel, and something to guide turbulence out from behind the wheel.
but you can bolt on what ever you want. at least it looks cool :P

so am i correct is saying that they provide no downforce on the front end? and even so at 60-70 MPH???
EDIT: holy shit, just noticed that in the first pic that is TIRE. yeah these splitters are doing nothing at the minimum, and possibly causing more harm.

there is drag for sure, not sure what type of force it is with the air spitting into the tire like that. down force in only good on a high speed turn anyway, so if your going 80+ mph MIDTURN, down force helps. I have no idea if an autocross course with a top speed of 60-70mph is on a straight away before a braking zone, or mid turn.
Eitherway. with this very specific application your dive plates are not in the right type of air stream since they are in front of the tires. and not on the side of the car technically.
on a side not consider what is happening between the dive plate, the tire and the lower splitter, when you look specifically at the air that flows under the dive plate and above the splitter. it hits a wall (shit ton of tire sticking out) and has no good escape route. obviously it gets out, but it's being slowed down/funneled into a tight spot like a cup.
Add frontal downforce to reduce understeer and tire wear
"After a proper splitter, these pieces are the next step to add front downforce. The added aero will keep your car's front end planted so the front doesn't fade through the duration of a race - for just a little more than the cost of 1 race tire! Used on the leading IP racecars in the country.
BMW CR Prepared and Mod legal, as well as many other organizations. Fits E36 M3 front bumper only. Includes one pair of dive planes and mounting hardware."
regardless I have a test and tune coming up.... ill run a lap with them and a lap with out them.... well see how it works... but the area of the piece is 35 square inches... I mean its gonna create some down force at 60-70 mph for sure, and will defiantly divert air from over the wheel.

Vendors will say all kinds of shit when they are trying to sell you stuff.
Ask them if it's been in a windtunnel or computer in a CFD program to back up their claims.
