Why not use solid stays so your splitter will actually stay in place under all those mad g forces?

Quoted for lack of comprehension of humor...

So, you've had the car in a wind tunnel and were able to see the splitter deforming so you put the cables on?

The Splitter/under panel combination has been "tested" in a real world setting. (Car was driven by my friend on the highway while I looked over from another car. This setup was used due to fiscal constraints and with the logic that lateral air bursts would not effect the splitting action.) During dry "testing" the splitter was seen to deflect downwards due to high pressure air building on the lip, hence the addition of the two 3/36inch braided cable wires supporting the front lip . The downwards deflection was consistent and was not attributed to road quality. During wet "testing" we saw that the splitter actually disturbed the settled water on the ground before the splitter even neared the section (approximately one foot). This is thought to be the presence of a high pressure cloud building up in front of the splitter. The dive planes showed a smoothed air flow over the wheels, since the re01r's stick out further. We also noticed a smoothed air flow behind the wheels, as compared to previous observations of wet travel. During autocross testing, people that have sat in the car previously commented on how much more planted the car felt before noticing the additional front end aerodynamics.

                        vaguely.

But seriously it seems like it wouldn't make a whole lot of a difference
Got him on another forum about this and he just said it made his head hurt so I guess that is kind of vague.

Mount the valance with zip ties, see if it rips the valance off.
