well, it's loud and cold as fuck for the winter, plus the seat bottom comes in handy ;) and isnt the heavy part of the seat, im actually going to pick up some speaker box carpeting today to replace that gross beige cover thing, but yea...

You can safely run 5 or 6 pts. You just have to position the sub belt(s) so they lay on top of the seat cushion and you sit on them, and that when you move forward during a crash, they get tighter.

that's not right, sorry man, according to the safety experts at HMW motorsports, the reason you cant' safely run 5 or 6 pt/s (you CAN run them, but its just not safe) on a seat that isnt made for them is becuase the sub belt(s) would have to wrap around come of the physical mass of the seat in order to come up through the little slot, or something along those lines, call Joe at HMS and ask for more info if you need it,

Or you can cut a slit in the clothe between the bottom cushion and thigh cushion. I've seen a few cars who have done this and I don't see any reason why this would be dangerous.

it can be done, but according to the expert, joe at HMS its not safe, and a lot of instructors will refuse to sit in the seats, i would love to run them, but it's safest to run what you can safely... :? haha

                      Firstly,
Sub belts on stock seats are not ideal.
Secondly, I think you mean Jay at HMS Dan... ;) Joe's busy working with J. Gordon on crash testing..
