Hitting trees does not incur time penalties in BMW Auto-X...

The BMW Club Auto-Xes are always more fun. They have a good sense of humor and fun runs are just that.

    My fast run:

My two fun runs... drifted into a tree and spun into a burnout:

Gearhead wanted me to post these, and I have no problem admitting mistakes like these. Was pushing the car hard all day with some fast times... but got a little too crazy in the fun runs.

The club guys were good sports and laughed / cheered it off.

Reminds me of cooking the tiny brakes in my friends '84 CRX back in highschool and heading off into the weeds...pushing it back on the road and carrying on!

That'll be a great memory Heet

The BMW club here is very loose as well. We even self-tech.

Fun runs are the best when they start running people's tow vehicles.

Glad to see there wasnt' any real damage. I bet you were surprised when you had a tree limb in the side of your head.

Yeah, I was staring at the greenery repeating "please be soft, please be soft" and fortunately I just had mostly soft small branches and leaves.

Although not a tow vehicle, a member's son did the event in his dad's Mini and brought out his LS1 RX-7 for the fun runs a few years ago.

Same guy was back this weekend with his CTS-V which much the same sound, a lot of tail-out action, and a great save.

Great times when they aren't all uptight.

haha yeah, gotta love BMW club events. There was an scca one the day after this and the difference is pretty crazy. Haha and this happened right after you cleaned the car up for the first time in like 5 years...
