Lol!
People ask me how I can run manual steering and brakes. Well because like Lurker27 gym does have some benefits although I sometimes wonder if carry the extra muscle mass equates to the same amount of weight removed from the car from the manual brakes and steering.

I have no power steering on my track car but then the car is down to 2300 lbs with half a tank of gas

I worry about that too. My brother weighs 100 lbs less than me (260 vs 160)...in a 2500lb car that's a big delta (3.7%)'89 335is +turboComment

I pulled the belt on my stripped eta and it's super easy to turn. If I didn't know, I'd swear it had p/s... it's only hard to turn when the car is sitting dead still. I think I'm going to remove the p/s pump and whatever else I can find to further lighten the car. BTW, between the a/c, p/s, and clutch fan delete, I picked up a noticeable amount of power.1997 540i/6 - stock

My jetta has no PS. Again it is a much lighter car and is FWD so its a bit easier. Anyway, I like it and I hate the PS in our volvos.Originally posted by Beej '86 325esevery time an M-tech 1 spoiler is destroyed, a baby seal dies.87 325:83 jetta coupe:99 volvo c70:99 volvo s70Originally posted by JparkrThe last thing we need are more of the retards on here thinking they are engineers too.Comment

ok for all of you who are saying it is hard to drive on the street makes me wonder, I am 6'2 145lbs, you do the math..and I dont have a problem except when under 3 mph, and even then it just requires a tighter grip on the wheel, parallel is a little trickier but ok it takes you an all of what 10 seconds to park? I love the feedback through the wheel and in tight turns its more rewarding and isnt that why we drive bimmers to begin with? Now with r-comps that may be a different story

I tried this years ago on a tight course (CSCC for those familiar) while running 205 Azenis. I thought I would be able to "feel" the tires better.
I quickly had the power steering back on for the next event.sigpicComment

It might equal out weight wise but you get more vajayjay with the extra muscle mass+the BMW roundel. Not to mention all the boys love your too because of the Fuhraze mods. That's the only reason I run no PS anyway, that and so I can call people pussies for having it.Comment
