thanks! amazingly, it seems like a pretty safe sport! the water is only 3ft deep and those boats are tough as nails as they roll over.

George, R3V'd have to start an email campaign to make that happen.

its gotta suck to flip over and land in the water upside down. I hope those guys have built in quick release mechanisms for their harnesses. I am sure they do, usually alot of safety features has to go into something like this.

What I don't get is how those boats corner so hard without giant fins jutting down into the water.

Vectored thrust. They're all jet boats. If you look at the rear end, you can see the support assembly for the nozzle built off the stern at keel level. This increases the leverage the jet nozzle has on the hull, increasing turn speed. That's why they just go straight if the hull goes airborne even for a moment; no water in the intake means no thrust, and no thrust means no steering.

yeah that jet nozzle looks like it can rotate pretty far. and about flipping over, it looks like if they can hold their breathe for 10 seconds, those 'track' workers fucking fly to get to the overturned boats. they can stand in the water, so im sure flipping the boat back over isnt hard.
