I've heard the PFC06 make less noise and dust than HP+. But I dunno... I don't really care, they get good reviews as a track pad so that's what I'm going with....

PM me for detailing services in the Longmont / Boulder Area in Colorado!

whoa whoa whoa here,.... what are black rotors?

also you won't find a street/track pad that won't make noise when cold on the street, also full track pads will NEVER work good when cold, that's not what they're designed for.

        Mistyped "blank".

If they all make noise, I will just get HP+ then and do the switching thing if I really have to. Maybe the noise won't bug me? Thanks!

You jack up the car once per wheel? I do one whole side at a time, jacking the car up takes seconds. An electric impact makes quick work of the wheel & caliper. You can also spend 5 more minutes and swap rotors too.

Giving in. Getting HPS for street and something else for track.

HPS are awful. have you ordered them already? They are not good at anything - no bite and vauge feel on the street, awful when cold/wet. They melt on the track. The only advantage is low dust. I ran 2 sets of them, and finally went back to a set of boring old Pagids. MUCH better cold feel, a much more solid pedal, and way better bite - cold, wet or otherwise.

HPS were bad enough that I thought my MC had gone bad (twice, I replaced it in 2009 for the same reason) - but after swapping pads, it takes half as much effort to do a normal stop, making the pedal feel much better. my MC is fine..

                Haven't ordered them yet.

I was searching and a fair amount of people raved about the HPS and their zero dust. I am looking for the best braking I can get that is with no noise or dust for the street.

well they are quiet and low dust, but the braking is awful. my wife was actually scared to drive my car, with freshly bled brakes, new rotors, calipers and HPS pads. I got used to it, but going back to "regular" pads was an eye opener.

Well now that is interesting. How dusty are your Pagid pads?

fairly dusty, but not abnormal. I decided I could live with the dust to have decent brakes.

there might be other low-dust pads with better performance than HPS though.

That is what I am trying to find. Sadly, everyones opinions are not consistent when it comes to brake pads.

Good god OP they're just brake pads, go buy some HP+ already, if you don't like them, use a different set when they wear out.

Just trying to get information so I can buy the right set the first time, nothing wrong with that.

FWIW, I love the Ferodos DS2500s on my Subaru. They aren't any dustier than the HP+, have the same bite, and are silent. I don't know how they do on track, but I've heard Ferodo pads work well but are very short lived...I'd run something else as a track pad. They're great street pads, very firm feel and constant torque.
