Welded diff's are fun but get old as they cause oversteer to quickly on the street. Especially with a big rear sway bar. Just stick with a LSD unless you like it slideways. -

TMS bus lot surface is the best if you like super slick and greasy conditions. :p
But I'm referring to running there in the summer when its 105+ out. :(

You could run with either but honestly the welded diff would be better if you adjust your driving style.
Obviously you'll want to rotate through the tighter corners, in essence drifting it through.
Although if running with the SCCA they tend to from upon this type of driving if its too wild.
I would not bother running with the open unless you just absolutely have to.
You should try coming out with the LSC BMWCCA chaper. WAY more relaxed and informal than the SCCA.
